Description	:	Charles Yost, son of Fred and Lillie Yost, was born October 9, 1911, near Modoc in Scott County, Kansas, and passed away at Dodge City, Kansas, March 8, 1953, at the age of 41 years, 4 months and 27 days. In 1919 he moved with his parents and brothers and sister to a farm near Ransom. He attended grade school at Free Will School and attended Ransom High school, being graduated with the class of 1932. Read More	Charles Yost, son of Fred and Lillie Yost, was born October 9, 1911, near Modoc in Scott County, Kansas, and passed away at Dodge City, Kansas, March 8, 1953, at the age of 41 years, 4 months and 27 days. In 1919 he moved with his parents and brothers and sister to a farm near Ransom. He attended grade school at Free Will School and attended Ransom High school, being graduated with the class of 1932. On April 8, 1942, he entered the army and served until September 7, 1945, serving in Africa, Italy and Sicily. On March 31, 1946, he was married to Ella Huenergardt. To this union was born one daughter, Anita Marie. He was preceded in death by his father; his brother, John; and sister, Anna. Those remaining are his little daughter, Anita of Dodge City; his mother, Mrs. Lillie Yost of Ransom; four brothers, Fred Yost and Ulrich Yost of Ransom, William Yost of Garden City, and Albert Yost of Las Animas, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Jennie Rufenacht of Ransom; nine nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held from the Ransom Methodist Church March 9. The service was conducted by Rev. Lamont Woelk of the Mennonite Church, assisted by Rev. H.G. Snyder of the Methodist Church. A double quartette sang "Under His Wings", "In the Garden" and "In the Sweet By and By", accompanied at the piano by Mrs. John G. Mishler. Pallbearers were Wilbur Willour, Jim Barber, Henry Schaefer, Frank Rufenacht, Dave Ummel and Fred Neyer. Burial was in the Ransom Cemetery. Ness Co. News, March 26, 1953
