Description	:	Lillie Bertha Yost, daughter of Ulrich and Rosena Oppliger, was born April 22, 1878, near Nodaway, Mo., and departed this life on May 19 at the Grisell Memorial Hospital, Ransom, at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 8 days. She came to Ness County with her parents in 1895 and lived on a farm near Ransom. On September 18, 1897, she was married to Fred Yost. Read More	Lillie Bertha Yost, daughter of Ulrich and Rosena Oppliger, was born April 22, 1878, near Nodaway, Mo., and departed this life on May 19 at the Grisell Memorial Hospital, Ransom, at the age of 88 years, 1 month and 8 days. She came to Ness County with her parents in 1895 and lived on a farm near Ransom. On September 18, 1897, she was married to Fred Yost. To this union were born eight children, four of whom preceded her in death. Her husband died in 1925. The family moved to Modoc in 1904 and remained there until 1919 when they moved to a farm south of Ransom where she lived until four months ago when she entered the Ransom nursing home. She was a member of the Mennonite Church and the Mission Society and was faithful in attendance as long as her health would permit. She leaves to mourn her departure, four sons: Fred and Ulrich of Ransom, William of Garden City, and Albert of Johnson; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Rosa Oppliger, 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, May 21 from the Ransom Mennonite Church, Rev. P.K. Regier officiating. Burial was in the Ransom Cemetery. Ness Co. News, May 26, 1966
