Description	:	MUSCATINE, Iowa -- Charlie Otto Christianson, 86, Muscatine, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at the Muscatine Care Center. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery with military rites. After the burial, a time of food and fellowship will be held in the Community Room at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Hospice Genesis Continuing Care. Mr. Christianson was born Jan. 8, 1918, in Muscatine, the son of Charles and Helen Brudtkuhl Christianson. He married Luella M. Osborn Oct. 22, 1947, in Rock Island, Ill. Mr. Christianson was born Jan. 8, 1918, in Muscatine, the son of Charles and Helen Brudtkuhl Christianson. He married Luella M. Osborn Oct. 22, 1947, in Rock Island, Ill. She preceded him in death June 1, 2004. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He served from Aug. 27, 1942, to Dec. 27, 1945, in New Guinea. He farmed before and after serving in the U.S. Army. He then began painting and re-roofing buildings as well as shoeing horses. He was a mechanic at Lamp Rehwaldt, Muscatine, and later worked for GPC at Kent Feeds as a maintenance man. He loved horses, a good joke, fishing and working around his daughter's farm. He enjoyed sitting around and sharing stories with others. He also gardened and worked on his own vehicles. He loved having friends and family over for the holidays. He was member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Eagles Lodge. Survivors include two daughters, Linda L. Cromer and husband, Michael, and Ila Mae Hutt and husband, Jack, all of Muscatine; a son, Kenneth W. Osborn and wife, Dora, of Bettendorf; 10 grandchildren; several great- and great-great grandchildren; and a sister Mildred Williams of Seattle, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a sister, Mabel Marie Sell; and a brother, Harry Christianson. No relation
