| Description | : | Charlie S. Parris, 78, of Sylva's Addie community, died Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at his residence after a period of declining health. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 12, in the chapel of Melton-Riddle Funeral Home. The Revs. Dillard Moore and Don Moffitt officiated. Burial was in the Addie Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jeff Jamison, Mark Parris, Scott Jamison, Steven Parris, Mathew Jamison and Carl Stepp. A native and lifelong resident of Jackson County, he was a retired truck driver and son of the late John B. and Lizzie Pannell Parris.
