Read More	Mrs. Katie Huls Mrs. Katie Huls, who had been in failing health for some time, died at 10:14 p.m., Wednesday, May 8, 1963 in the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Williams in Beatrice, Nebr. Her age was 86 years, 4 months and 24 days. She had spent some time in the hospital but received loving care from her children while she was in the Williams home during her final illness. Charlotte Catharina Etta Agena, daughter of John and Geska Agena, was born west of Sterling, Nebr., December 14, 1876. She was baptized by Rev. M. Martens on December 21 of the same year, and was confirmed by Rev. Buhrmeister in Immanuel Lutheran church two miles west of Sterling on Palm Sunday, 1892. She was married to John Huls on April 12, 1896, the Rev. F. W. Erthal officiating. Four children were born to this union, one daughter, Margarette, preceding her parents in death on May 19, 1928. Mr. Huls died Dec. 24, 1946. With the exception of four years, Mrs. Huls spent her entire life in and near Sterling. After her marriage she and her husband lived near Filley but in 1900 moved back to the farm northwest of Sterling. She was a life member of Immanuel Lutheran church and was faithful in her attendance there as long as health permitted. After the death of her husband she made her home with her children when the complications of old age finally made it impossible for her to live alone. She was given every loving care and consideration by them. Surviving are two daughters and one son: Mrs. George (Mary) Williams of Beatrice, John Huls and Mrs. George (Ida) Buss of Sterling. There are also seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. John Hestermann, all of Sterling. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at two o'clock in Immanuel Lutheran church west of Sterling. Rev. Phillip Fry of Beatrice preached the sermon. Assisting was Rev. A. Wittrock. Mrs. Darrold Woodworth was the organist, and Mrs. Edgar Weyers, Mrs. Glenn Hestermann and Mrs. Jurgen Harms sang. Pallbearers were Fred Dirks, Norman Heussmann, Norman Rathe, August Boden, Harold Weyers and Carl Michel. She was laid to rest in the church cemetery
