Description	:	Charlotte was the daughter of German immigrants, Mathias Dericks and Frances Richley. On Dec. 8, 1867, Clermont Co., Ohio, she married Thomas Corwin Fitzwater. In 1871, their son, Charles E. was born. It is not known if Charlotte and Thomas were divorced or Thomas just disappeared. On all of the census records through 1930, Charlotte lists herself as a widow. She never remarried. Thomas turns up in Washington State a few years later though married to someone else and with three more children.
