Description	:	Charlotte Meyer was born in Minden, Westfalen, Germany, June 1, 1847, and died at her home near Seward, December 20, 1924, aged 77 years, 6 months and 20 days. She came to America with her parents at the age of five years and located at Madison, Wisconsin, where she grew to womanhood. While yet in her girlhood she was confirmed in a Lutheran church near Madison. Read More	Charlotte Meyer was born in Minden, Westfalen, Germany, June 1, 1847, and died at her home near Seward, December 20, 1924, aged 77 years, 6 months and 20 days. She came to America with her parents at the age of five years and located at Madison, Wisconsin, where she grew to womanhood. While yet in her girlhood she was confirmed in a Lutheran church near Madison. She was married to Charles Ricenbaw of Madison in 1867 and four years later she came with him to Seward county, Nebraska, and settled on a homestead four miles east of Seward where she had lived continuously, with the exception of ten years when they resided on another farm near the homestead. Her husband was called to his reward seven years ago last April. To this union were born eight children, five sons and three daughters; Solomon, who preceded her in death on the 16th of last August, David, who died in infancy, Norman of Friend, Nebraska, Mrs. Ida Clark, Prudence, Ellas, Joseph and James of Seward. Besides these she leaves to mourn her loss, three daughters-in-law, one son-in-law, fourteen grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Christ Gausmann of Milford, two brothers, August Meyer of Milford and Henry Meyer of Madison, Wisconsin, one stepbrother, two stepsisters, all of Lincoln, and a host of other relatives and friends. Thirty years ago last May she and her husband united with the Methodist church in Seward during the pastorate of Brother T. A. Hull. She remained a conscientious Christian and a faithful member of the church until the day of her death.
