In infancy she was baptized and was later confirmed into the Lutheran faith. In this Christian faith, she remained a steadfast member until the time of her death. As a young girl, she immigrated to America and on November 22, 1886 at Peoria, Illinois she was united in marriage to George Reeb. This union was blessed with six children, one daughter, Mrs. Chas. In infancy she was baptized and was later confirmed into the Lutheran faith. In this Christian faith, she remained a steadfast member until the time of her death. As a young girl, she immigrated to America and on November 22, 1886 at Peoria, Illinois she was united in marriage to George Reeb. This union was blessed with six children, one daughter, Mrs. Chas. Carlson having preceded her in death. In the year 1890 they moved to York County, Nebraska later moving to this vicinity. They retired to their home in Polk in 1924. Upon reaching the age of 80 years, 11 months and 13 days, she answered the summons of her Savior on the morning of April 14, 1947. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, George Reeb two sons and three daughters: Henry, Lillie and Sophie of this community, Helen and Harold of Los Angeles, Calif. Two daughters-in-law, four sons-in-law, five grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three great grandchildren; one sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. C.W. Long Thursday April 17, 1947. Interment was in the family plot in the Lutheran cemetery at Polk. Miss Bernice Blasé, Virgil Blasé and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Ramsey sang a quartet number "Never Grow Old" at the Brauer Funeral home and the "Old Rugged Cross" and "Rock Of Ages" at the Lutheran Church accompanied by John Stohs on the pipe organ. Sons and sons-in-law of the deceased were pallbearers. He floral tributes were many and beautiful.
