The Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette (Fort Wayne, Indiana) June 14, 1904 MRS. CHARLOTTE ZENT DEAD. She was the widow of the Late Samuel Zent, Wabash Agent at Roanoke. ROANOKE, Ind., June 12.--Mrs. Charlotte Zent, who for some time has suffered from diseases peculiar to old age, died at her home, on the corner of Second and Seminary streets, Sunday evening about 8 o'clock. For the past month all hopes of her recovery had been abandoned, as her advanced years made it an impossibility. Mrs. Zent was the widow of Samuel Zent, who for many years resided near the Wabash station, he being station master, and one of Roanoke's honorable citizens. Three daughters survive the deceased, they being Mrs. Zook, of Westerville, Ohio, Mrs. E. E. Richards and Miss Alice Zent, both of Roanoke. A brother, John Sherer [Shearer], and a sister, Mrs. F. S. Reefy, also survive. The funeral services will be held at the U. B. church Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. Goshert officiating. Interment will be in Glenwood cemetery. The Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette (Fort Wayne, Indiana) June 19, 1904 The funeral of Mrs. Charlotte Zent was held from the U. B. church here Wednesday. A large crowd of the friends and relatives of the deceased were in attendance, many being from a distance. The Rev. Joshert delivered the sermon and interment was in Glenwood cemetery.
