With his parents, he came to Nebraska in 1870, coming by railroad to its terminus at Plattsmouth and crossing the Missouri River on a boat and continuing their journey in a wagon to Ashland where they made their first home. With his parents, he came to Nebraska in 1870, coming by railroad to its terminus at Plattsmouth and crossing the Missouri River on a boat and continuing their journey in a wagon to Ashland where they made their first home. A few years later the family moved to a homestead northeast of Ceresco and here Mr. Nash grew to manhood, first taking up farming as a vocation and later clerking in a store at Ashland. On Nov. 9, 1890, he was married to Miss Anna M. Frederick of Memphis. Again he engaged in farming on his father's farm and later on is own farm near Memphis. He had been a member of the M. E. church for the past 35 years, having joined the Pleasant Hill church near Ceresco at that time. Farming proved to be his choice of life work and in the spring of 1910 the family moved to their present home five miles south of Brunswick. Four sons and five daughters gladdened the home of Mr. and Mrs. Nash; one son, Archie, and a daughter, Iva May, passing away before their missions scarcely began. The other children, Curtis and Leslie of Ithaca, Mrs. Vera Buche of Plainview, Arthur, Doris, Veryle and Beryle, with their mother survive. Others mourning his departure are five grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Flora Boydston of Lincoln, besides many relatives and friends. He departed this life Friday morning, May 23 after an illness of several months at the age of 67 years, 8 months and 14 days. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the M. E. church in Neligh with Rev. E. A. Smith of Crawford Valley and Rev. Richmond of Neligh in charge. Burial was made in the Laurel Hill Cemetery.
