Robinette Columbia City Post, Whitley County, Indiana Friday, August 9, 1935 Mrs. Chloe M. Harrison, 75, wife of Albert Harrison, died at 5 o'clock this morning at her home a mile south of Dunfee on the Whitley-Allen county line road. Death was due to complications accompanying leucocythaemia, a disease of the blood. While she had been in failing health for several years, she suffered a serious illness last March and since that time her general health had declined rapidly. Mrs. Harrison was a native of Jefferson township, born November 8, 1859, to the late Nathan and Almira Roberts Robinette. She was married to Mr. Harrison on May 4, 1879. They lived ten years in Troy township but for the past 45 years had resided on a farm about a mile south of Dunfee, just east of the Whitley-Allen county line. Besides the husband Mrs. Harrison is survived by six children, namely, Charles Harrison, of Columbia City, William R. Harrison and Mrs. Charles Wagner of Allen county, Dale H. Harrison of Crestline, Ohio, Benjamin H. Harrison of Fort Wayne, and Raymond C. Harrison, who resides on the home place. In addition three sisters survive: Mrs. Hattie Aker of Fort Wayne, Mrs. Albert Skidmore of Cullison, Kan., and Mrs. Oliver Smith of Roanoke; also seventeen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, a brother, two sisters, two half-brothers and a half-sister. She was a member of Roberts Chapel Free Methodist church in Whitley county. Mrs. Harrison during her long residence in the Dunfee neighborhood formed many lasting friendships and was held in the esteem of the entire community. The body, brought to the DeMoney Funeral Home here, will be returned to the family residence Saturday. Rev. Cutler, Fort Wayne, will be in charge of the funeral services to be held at 2 p.m. (CST) Sunday at the home and at 2:30 o'clock at Sand Bank church. Burial will be made in the church cemetery. Harrison, Chloe (Robinette) Fort Wayne News-Sentinel, Allen County, Indiana Saturday August 10, 1935 Mrs. Albert Harrison, aged 75, died of leukemia Friday at her home on the Allen-Whitley county line a half mile south of the Illinois Road. She had been ill about six months and was bedfast three days. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church. Surviving are the husband; a daughter, Mrs. Charles Wagner, of the Illinois Road; five sons, Charles of Columbia City; Roy of the Illinois Road; Dale of Crestline, Ohio; Ben of this city; and Raymond, at home; 17 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
