Description	:	Christian L. Beitzel was the second son born to Lewis Beitzel and Sarah Brenneman Beitzel at the farm in Bittinger, MD. When Crist was 12 years old his mother died. He continued to live and work on his Father's Farm. He attended the local Grammar School. In 1898 Crist was married to a neighbor girl Mary Orendorf. She was the daughter of Lydia Beachy and Elias Orendorf. Mary did not live long after the marriage, she died in child birth 9 August 1899, age 31 years 7 months and 8 days. She was the daughter of Lydia Beachy and Elias Orendorf. Mary did not live long after the marriage, she died in child birth 9 August 1899, age 31 years 7 months and 8 days. He was married the second time to 15 year old Carrie Bell Snyder on August 5, 1905 Carrie and Crist Beitzel moved to Indian Head, Pa so that he could work in the Saw Mill as a timberman who sawed trees into planks and boards. He died of Pneumonia at Indian Head, Pa in March 1948 at age 75. He was buried in the Cherry Glade Amish Mennonite Cemetery on Foxtown Road, Bittinger.
