Description	:	(KS) Narka News Sept. 28, 1917 Christi Anna Carl was born in Maryland July 25, 1836, and died at her home in Munden, Kansas, Sept. 21, 1917, aged 81 years, 1 month and 26 days. When eight years old her parents moved to Ohio, and in 1854 she accompanied her parents to Rome, Iowa, where she was united in marriage to Ellis L. McBride on the 17th day of October 1861. Read More	(KS) Narka News Sept. 28, 1917 Christi Anna Carl was born in Maryland July 25, 1836, and died at her home in Munden, Kansas, Sept. 21, 1917, aged 81 years, 1 month and 26 days. When eight years old her parents moved to Ohio, and in 1854 she accompanied her parents to Rome, Iowa, where she was united in marriage to Ellis L. McBride on the 17th day of October 1861. This union was blessed with seven children, the oldest of which died in infancy. The surviving children, five daughters and one son, are: Mrs. Laura Elley, of La Veta, Colo., Mrs. Flora Wilcox, of Munden, Kansas, Mrs. Lida Fisher, of Burr Oak, Kansas, Mrs. Sallie Wilcox, of Montrose, S. D., Mrs. Jessie Brown, of Tangis, Okla., and Martin McBride, of Islay, Canada. Besides the husband and six children Mrs. McBride is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Jane Thompsons, of Canon City, Colo., and Mrs. Eliza Crawford, of Munden, and twenty grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. With her family she moved to Sidney, Iowa in 1870, where they resided until 1885, when they came to Republic county, where they have since resided. Mrs. McBride united with the Methodist Episcopal church in 1860 and has been a consistent member of that church for over fifty-seven years. In late years her health had been so poor she was unable to attend divine worship, yet she kept her faith and trust in God. Her sufferings were great and she was not, for God took her where suffering shall be no more nor any pain enter there in the abode of the blest. Funeral services were held from the home Sunday. Sept. 23, at 2:00 p.m., conducted by the pastor Rev. D. H. Colvin, and interment made in the Ida cemetery.
