Description	:	(KS) Belleville Telescope Jan. 5, 1928 Ellis Long McBride was born near Zenith, Green county, Ohio, Dec. 22, 1863, and passed beyond, Dec. 26, 1927, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ed C. Fisher, of Lebanon, Ore., aged 91 years, 4 days. When a small boy he moved with his parents to Mount Pleasant, Iowa, where he grew to manhood. In 1861 he was united in marriage to Christia Ann Carl, who passed beyond in Sept. 1917. To this union were born seven children, the oldest of which died in infancy. The living children are: twin daughters, Mrs. Laura Elley of La Veta, Colo., and Mrs. Flora Wilcox of Munden, Kansas, Mrs. Lida Fisher of Lebanon, Oregon, J. Martin McBride of Islay, Alberta, Canada, Mrs. Sallie Wilcox of Salem, South Dakota and Mrs. Jessie Brown of Tangier, Okla., also twenty grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. One brother, John H. McBride of Santa Cruz, California. In 1885, Mr. McBride with his family moved to Republic county, Kansas, where they homesteaded and lived until the death of Mrs. McBride, since which time he has lived with his daughters, Mrs. Flora Wilcox and Mrs. Lida Fisher. Mr. McBride enlisted in Co. H. 25th Iowa Volunteer Infantry in 1862 and was honorably discharged in 1865. Funeral was held in the Methodist church of Munden, at 11:00 a.m., January 2, Rev. L. R. LaPorte conducted the services, assisted by Rev. Fish and the America Legion, which gave Military Burial at Ida Cemetery.
