She had been ill for several weeks and a few days before her death, when double pneumonia developed, she was removed to the hospital in Ames. She lingered there but a short time when she passed away. Stratford Courier April 29, 1926 Mrs. John Bjustrom Mrs. Christina Carolina Brown Bjustrom was born May 10, 1864, in Vastra Hargs congregation, Ostergotland, Sweden. She passed away at the Mary Greeley hospital at Ames on April 20, 1926, at the age of 61 years, 11 months, 10 days. She came to America in October, 1884, and made her home in Brooklyn, N.Y. until 1891, when she came to Iowa. In 1892 she was united in marriage to John S. Bjustrom and this union was blessed with three sons, one of whom died in infancy. Those who survive her passing are: her husband, and two sons, Benny and Lawrence; one brother and one sister, who live in Sweden, two sisters who reside in Brooklyn, N.Y. and one sister who lives in Connecticut; two nieces who live in this state, many other relatives and a great many friends, also mourn her death. Mrs. Bjustrom was a real mother in Israel, with a strong faith in God and love for His cause. She was patient and cheerful whatever met her and she will be missed not only in the home but in the church and in the community as well. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family residence and at 2:30 from the South Marion M.E. Church, and were conducted by Rev. Stromberg. Interment was made in the South marion Cemetery. She was born May 10, 1864 in Västra Harg, Ramshult, Sweden. She is the youngest daughter of Karolina Tångring who was born March 5, 1818 in Hällefors, Sweden and died September 24, 1889 in Västra Harg, Sweden and Gustav Brun (Brown in English) born August 14, 1813 in Ekeby, Sweden and died November 18, 1871 in Vastra Hart, Sweden.
