Description	:	Christopher Elra Lillibridge was born 18 May,1846 in Waterford, Pennsylvania in Erie County. He came to Delaware County, Iowa with his brother Robert in March of 1866. He worked for Lyman Frost in a sawmill. He came to Greenwood, Nebraska in 1867 and three years later went into a partnership with Mr.Frost in opening a sawmill in Yutan, Nebraska. He married Clysta Jane Harrison in 1872. Two years later he moved to Boulder, Colorado & then back to Yutan, Nebraska in 1876. Held jobs in sawmills & as a carpenter. He became a farmer in 1884 in Weston, Nebraska. Later on he was a bridge builder, and co-owner of a hardware store. He worked for Canton Bridge Co. off & on until he became ill shortly before his death. Obituary: Weston - Chris E. Lillibridge, a pioneer resident of Saunders County, died Monday morning at 3 o'clock at his home in this village. He was well known over the county, having been elected twice as sheriff on the democratic ticket and at the time of his death was connected with the Canton Bridge Company and in charge of their business in the county. He was aged 65 years and helped to organize the Knights of Pythias lodge in Weston, also being a charter member of the Ancient Order of United Workmen. For some years he was engaged in the hardware business here. The funeral was held Wednesday under the auspices of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of the lodge at Wahoo, of which Mr. Lillibridge was a member.
