Description	:	Christopher J. Sterling Christopher J. Sterling, 63, resident of Johnson's Creek Road, died at his home yesterday (Thursday) morning, after a lingering illness of cancer. Mr. Sterling was a farmer and waterman by vocation, and had been ill for more than a year, having been a patient at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, for quite a long time before returning home some months ago. STERLING RITES TOMORROW AFTERNOON Christopher J. Sterling, passed away at the home of his mother on Johnson's Creek road at 4:20 a.m. yesterday following an illness of some time. The deceased, the son of the late Leon Sterling and Elizabeth Sterling, who survives, was held in high esteem by all who knew him and in his death, the community as a whole has lost one of its best citizens. Before his illness, Mr. Sterling was a very active man and pursued his labors with a great deal of energy. He was widely known for his honest and fair dealings with his fellow man. Surviving, besides his mother, is one daughter who lives in Baltimore, three brothers, William Sterling, Arthur Sterling and Carroll Sterling, all of Lawsonia and one sister, Mrs. Cope Sterling. Funeral services will be held from the home of Mrs. Elizabeth Sterling at 2:00 o'clock Saturday afternoon with Rev. J.T. Rowlenson, pastor of the Asbury M.E. Church, officiating.
