Sterling Passed Away Saturday Funeral Services Were Held Monday Mrs. Vivian Lawson Sterling, wife of Christopher Sterling, died at the McCready Memorial Hospital last Saturday afternoon after an operation. She was forty-six years of age. Mrs. Sterling had been in poor health for a number of years. Last week she was stricken with appendicitis and was removed to the local hospital where an operation was performed Friday. Sterling Passed Away Saturday Funeral Services Were Held Monday Mrs. Vivian Lawson Sterling, wife of Christopher Sterling, died at the McCready Memorial Hospital last Saturday afternoon after an operation. She was forty-six years of age. Mrs. Sterling had been in poor health for a number of years. Last week she was stricken with appendicitis and was removed to the local hospital where an operation was performed Friday. Her condition was such, however, that she could not withstand the shock and passed away Saturday afternoon. The deceased was born in Lawsonia, and spent practically her entire life in that community. Despite the handicap of ill health for the past several years she maintained an active interest in the affairs of the community. She was a member of Asbury M.E. Church. She leaves a wide circle of friends to mourn her loss. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Sterling, and three sisters, Mrs. J. Coyne Sterling, Mrs. Carl Evans, and Mrs. Percy Nelson, all of Crisfield. Funeral services were held from Asbury M.E. Church on Monday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. J.T. Rowlenson, pastor, assisted by the Rev. J. Yancey Fincher, pastor of the Baptist Temple. Interment was in Asbury cemetery.
