Read More	Clair Gordon Manternach Fort Worth, Texas Dec 16, 1954 – Apr 9, 2021 Clair Gordon Manternach, born the third of six children to Dale and Lois Manternach, of Scobey, Montana, passed away on April 9, 2021 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 66 due to complications of a heart condition. Born and raised in rural Scobey, Clair excelled at most activities he was involved with, including 4-H, high school band and academics. Following high school graduation in 1973, Clair attended Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana and then became interested in the cattle business of which he was very fond. He ranched around Scobey and Opheim for a number of years but high interest rates and drought took a tool on his business. Clair then moved to the south which better agreed with his asthma symptoms. He found work as a terminal dock hand for Consolidated Freightways, while also attending Christ for the Nation Bible Institute in Dallas, Texas, from which he graduated in 1988. He soon moved up progressively in the union as openings became available. He drove freight trucks for several companies and prospered in several ways in and around Fort Worth, Texas. Clair loved Jesus and he loved people, working tirelessly to serve others. Diligent would describe how he went about his duties, always walking with purpose. Nobody was a stranger for long around Clair as he formed lifelong relationships with many in his 35 years in Texas. Clair was very involved in a bus ministry, providing outreach to people in project areas, on Saturdays then busing them to church of Sunday. They always returned home with food. He thrived on church gatherings, home meetings, Bible studies and then living out that faith with good works. Clair loved kids. They could not pass by him without some kid of acknowledgment. Within his own family, he was known for "the pat", a gentle pat on the head to greet nieces and nephews. Clair lived as a minimalist concerning earthly treasures. He believed that where your treasure is, there your heart also will be. He had memorized nearly all the New Testament and the Psalms in the Bible. In his later years, he poured his energy into selfless ministry, actively organizing and distributing thousands of meals a week from Mercy Culture Church food bank to those in need. He set an example that many will follow, and he surely will be missed. Clair was preceded in death by his parents, Dale and Lois Manternach of Scobey, Montana; and infant brother, Donovan Lee; brothers, Lee Allen and Duane Brian; and brother-in-law, Greg Larson. He is survived by his sisters, Ingrid Larson of Scobey and Mary (Brian) Beckers of Springfield, Missouri; one brother, Dallas (Karen) Manternach of Scobey, Montana; along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted at the Assembly of God Church in Scobey, Montana on Wednesday, April 21st, starting at 10:00am. A burial will commence following the service at the Daniels County Cemetery in Scobey.
