Description	:	Dayton Review October 29, 1903 OBITUARY Mrs. Clara Jacobson was born in Eriksberg, Älvsborg Län, Sweden, February 26, 1837, where she grew to womanhood, coming to America in 1863. October 1st the following year she was married to Gustav Jacobson in Illinois, where she stopped on coming to this country. In 1868 they removed from Illinois to Dayton where she and her husband lived until 1884, when they moved with their family near Gowrie, settling in the Lena neighborhood. Read More	Dayton Review October 29, 1903 OBITUARY Mrs. Clara Jacobson was born in Eriksberg, Älvsborg Län, Sweden, February 26, 1837, where she grew to womanhood, coming to America in 1863. October 1st the following year she was married to Gustav Jacobson in Illinois, where she stopped on coming to this country. In 1868 they removed from Illinois to Dayton where she and her husband lived until 1884, when they moved with their family near Gowrie, settling in the Lena neighborhood. Last spring they left the farm, and came back to Dayton to live the remainder of their days, building themselves a fine new home, which was nearly ready to occupy when death took her away. She died on Wednesday of last week aged 66 years, 6 months, 26 days. Nine children have been born to her, 3 sons and 6 daughters. One son preceded her to the better land, the rest together with the bereaved husband survive to mourn her loss. Wherever they have lived she and her family have been faithful members of the Lutheran church, placing their membership actively with the organization where they have located. Her sister, Mrs. N. A. Thuleen, was called from Burlington by her illness, but too late to see her alive. A brother, Frederick Lundien, also survives her. The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon from the Lutheran church, the services being conducted by her pastor, Rev. Christenson, assisted by Rev. Landell, her former pastor at Gowrie. Her remains were laid to rest in Dayton cemetery. A host of friends of the family sympathize with them in their sorrow.
