She became ill two years ago and departed this life July 10, 1958, at her home in Geneva at the age of 64 years and 11 months. Read More	LECHTENBERGER, CLARA ANN—Clara Jordan Lechtenberger was born August 10, 1893, to John and Elizabeth Jordon at Hartford, S. D. She became ill two years ago and departed this life July 10, 1958, at her home in Geneva at the age of 64 years and 11 months. The Jordan family moved from South Dakota to the Jefferson county area near Alexandria, Neb., in 1901. It was there she spent her childhood. May 12, 1913, she was united in marriage to Adolph O. Lechtenberger. To this union were born six sons and two daughters. The Lechtenbergers lived in the Fillmore county area since 1921, where they have been engaged in farming most of the time. She will be remembered for her assistance in making the Geneva Dairy a success. Her entire life was devoted to her family and her husband. Her greatest pleasures came from doing for others. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, A. O. Lechtenberger; her sons, Henry of North Bend; Wesley of San Diego, Cal., Merle of Platte City, Mo.; Melvin, Bill and Jack all of Geneva; also two daughters, Mrs. Herbert Stoldorf and Mrs. Don Apley of Geneva; a brother, John Jordan and sister, Mrs. Bill Kirchoff of Alexandria. She was the proud grandmother of 26 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two infant brothers and her sister Martha. She was a member of the congregational church of Geneva. Funeral services were held at the Kritner-Farmer funeral home Sunday, July 13. Pallbearers were James B. Barbur, Dr. L. H. Kerl, Leslie McPeck, W. C. Nelson, Jesse Richards and Porter Sloan. Rev. Alden B. Sears officiated. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal July 1958 Thanks to Mary Seggerman for providing the obituary.
