Description	:	LECHTENBERGER, JACK D. Jack D. Lechtenberger was born to Adolph and Clara A. (Jordan) Lechtenberger on July 10, 1926, at Geneva. He passed away Monday, July 20, 1981, at Lincoln at the age of 55 years and 10 days. He was the youngest of eight children. Jack entered the Marines after graduating from the Geneva public high school in 1944. He farmed for several years in the Ohiowa and Alexandria area. Read More	LECHTENBERGER, JACK D. Jack D. Lechtenberger was born to Adolph and Clara A. (Jordan) Lechtenberger on July 10, 1926, at Geneva. He passed away Monday, July 20, 1981, at Lincoln at the age of 55 years and 10 days. He was the youngest of eight children. Jack entered the Marines after graduating from the Geneva public high school in 1944. He farmed for several years in the Ohiowa and Alexandria area. He purchased the Geneva Dairy in 1960, from his brother Bill, which he operated for as long as his health permitted. He had been employed for the past year at the South Side Mobil station. Jack was married to Wynona E. Christiancy of Strang on November 30, 1947. He was preceded in death by his parents, and is survived by his wife Wynona, his sons, Larry of Lincoln and Randy of Ralston and their wives. He has three grandchildren, Amber, Benjamin and Jason; brothers, Henry of Fremont, Wesley of San Diego, Cal., Merle of Hancock, Ia., Melvin of Lakeview, Ark., Bill of Chickasha, Okla., and their wives; sisters, Evelyn Stoldorf and Irene Apley of Geneva and their husbands; a step-mother, Ruby Lechtenberger of Lakeview, Ark. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were conducted from the First Congregational United Church of Christ at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 23, 1981, with Rev. Charles Schepel officiating. Mrs. Evelyn Foster accompanied Delwin Myers who sang “How Great Thou Art” and “In the Garden.” Those serving as pallbearers were nephews: Don Apley Jr., Adolf, Jerry, Rod and Vic Lechtenberger and Robert Stoldorf. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery, with Willard Mussman presenting the flag for the military services.
