Description	:	The funeral for Clara Nelson was Saturday at 10:30 a.m., in the Church of The Plains Edgar. Mrs Nelson died last Wednesday at the Bethesda Care Center, Edgar, at the age of 96 years, 7 months and 10 days. The daughter of Hans Christian and Anna Madsen Hansen, she was born June 3, 1891, in Clay County, Nebraska. Feb. 21, 1912, she was united in marriage to John C. Nelson. This union was blessed with the birth of three children, one son and two daughters. The couple made their home on two different farms, one being in Clay County and the other near Chappell, Neb.... Mrs Nelson died last Wednesday at the Bethesda Care Center, Edgar, at the age of 96 years, 7 months and 10 days. The daughter of Hans Christian and Anna Madsen Hansen, she was born June 3, 1891, in Clay County, Nebraska. Feb. 21, 1912, she was united in marriage to John C. Nelson. This union was blessed with the birth of three children, one son and two daughters. The couple made their home on two different farms, one being in Clay County and the other near Chappell, Neb. In 1964 they moved to Edgar. Since April, 1986, Mrs. Nelson has resided in the Bethesda Care Center, Edgar. She was a charter member of the Church of The Plains. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, John in July, 1977; and a son, Leo, who died in October, 1983. She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Herb Bruns (Bettie) of Superior and Mrs. Melvin Hineline (Geraldine) of Davenport; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Yost (Edna) and Anna Teter, both of Hastings; ll grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives. The Rev. Stuart Barnes Jamieson was the officiant. Interment was in the Edgar Cemetery. The Urbauer-Williams Funeral Home of Edgar was in charge of the arrangements.
