Mrs. Roush passed away at the Good Samaritan Home in Nelson, Saturday evening. She was the mother of Mrs. Robert Watts of Deweese, and the grandmother of Mrs. Fred Jester of Nelson. Read More	Funeral services for Mrs. Clara Roush, 79, were held at the Presbyterian Church in Fairfield, Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Roush passed away at the Good Samaritan Home in Nelson, Saturday evening. She was the mother of Mrs. Robert Watts of Deweese, and the grandmother of Mrs. Fred Jester of Nelson. The Nelson Gazette, Thursday, December 29, 1966 -------------------------------------------- Services were held December 27, 1966 for Mrs. Clara J. Roush, daughter of Fred and Martha Emrich. She was born on a farm northeast of Fairfield March 9, 1887, and departed from this life December 24, 1966, at the age of 79 years, 9 months 15 days. She spent her entire life in and around this community. December 27, 1911 she was united in marriage to Frank W. Roush, who preceded her in death August 29, 1952. Two children came to bless this union, a son Harold, and a daughter Velda. Early in life she gave her life to Christ and was faithful to Him to the end. She was a member of the Fairfield Christian Church and attended regularly as long as health permitted. She was preceeded (sic) in death by her parents, her husband, one sister and one brother. She leaves to mourn her passing her son Harold Roush of Shickley, her daughter, Mrs. Robert Watts of Deweese; five granddaughters, one grandson and 2 great grandsons; two sisters, Margaret Emrich of Edgar and Mrs. Wilbur Paulus of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Carl Emrich of Portland, Ore., and James Emrich of Edgar. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, and sister and will be missed by her family, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held December 27, 1966 at the Fairfield Community Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Henry Fawcett officiating at the service. Pallbearers were Fred Jester, George Benton, Robert Paulsen, Larry Roush, Larry Herman and Joe McReynolds. Interment was made in Fairfield Cemetery. McLaughlin Funeral Service was in charge. Those from out of town attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Paulsen of Chappell, Mr. and Mrs. George Benton and Harold of Griggs, Okla., Mr. and Mrs. Fred Jester of Nelson, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brenkman of Geneva and Miss Sharon Roush of Kearney.
