While in high school, she completed normal training. She attended college at Wayne, Nebraska, and taught in rural schools for 8 years. She married Leo Zurovski, June 10, 1946, at the St. Edward Catholic Church. They lived on a farm southeast of Boone until 2001, when they moved to St. Edward. During the 1970s and 1980s, Clara worked, part time, as a CGNA at the hospital and Cloverlodge. She was a 4-H and Girls Scout leader, organist for the church choir, and taught catechism. Clara loved to sew, paint, embroider, quilt, crochet, and did many crafts. Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, infant daughter Joan, son Ron, infant great-grandson Aiden, sisters Mary Schifferns and Helen McIntosh.
