Merrick County Sheriff Anthony McPhillips said the 1998 Buick LeSabre Deward McIntosh was driving rolled over seven miles north of Central City and one mile east. The cause is still being investigated, McPhillips said. A passing driver notified 911 of the accident. Helen McIntosh was ejected from the car in the accident. The Jaws of Life were called for but not needed, McPhillips said. The couple lived in rural Palmer, the sheriff said. The Central City Ambulance and Fire Department, Merrick County Sheriff's office and the Nebraska State Patrol responded to the accident.
