Description	:	Death came Thursday at the Ellensburg General Hospital to Mrs. Clara Hartman, 75, following a long illness. She was admitted to the hospital an hour before her death. Mrs. Hartman was born Oct. 1, 1881 at Eddyville, Ia. She was married March 24, 1904 at Ottumwa, Ia., to Charles H. Hartman who preceded her in death at Ellensburg in 1920. She was admitted to the hospital an hour before her death. Mrs. Hartman was born Oct. 1, 1881 at Eddyville, Ia. She was married March 24, 1904 at Ottumwa, Ia., to Charles H. Hartman who preceded her in death at Ellensburg in 1920. They moved to Tacoma in 1906 and came to Ellensburg in 1910. She has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Andy Gustafson for the past 15 years. Mrs. Hartman was active in church, club, and civic work all her life. She was a member of Grace Chapter of Order of eastern Star and was affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. she was one of the founders and one of the early presidents of the Woldale Thursday Club. She was also active in war work during Worl Wars I and II. Also preceding her in death were a daughter, Mrs. Helen Haberman, who die din 1942 and a step daughter, Mrs. Irene Cook, who died in 1919. Also surviving are two stepsons, Clarence S. and Harry J. Gustafson, both of Ellensburg; two sisters, Mrs. George Turley, Ellensburg, and Mrs. Harold Graham, Ottumwa, Ia.; two brothers, Grover McGlothlen, Galesburg, Ill., and John McGlothlen, Sarasota, Fla., and six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. funeral services will be held at the Evenson Chapel Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Laurence Arksey will officiate. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery. The family suggests that those wishing to make memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may send them to the Cancer Society in care of Mrs. Frank Schnebly, Sr., Route 3, Ellensburg.
