Description	:	Clara Sarah Ennen, 101, of Alexandria, Minn., died Friday, June 15, 2001, at Bethany Home in Alexandria. She was born March 21, 1900, to Herman and Mary (Tiaden) Poppinga in Benson, Ill., and was baptized on April 29, 1900, in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. The Poppinga family moved to Pocahontas County, Iowa, in the early 1900s. She was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lizard Township. She was born March 21, 1900, to Herman and Mary (Tiaden) Poppinga in Benson, Ill., and was baptized on April 29, 1900, in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church. The Poppinga family moved to Pocahontas County, Iowa, in the early 1900s. She was confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lizard Township. On Sept. 5, 1920, she married Henry Redmann in a triple wedding ceremony with Louis and Mattie Abens and Albert and Sena Janssen. The couple had one son, Harold. They farmed for many years in Iowa. In 1945, Mr. Redman began work in the construction business until his death in 1962. She later married Harm Ennen in Barrett, Minn., with the Rev. Ivar Sandberg at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. They lived on a farm near Gilmore City until his death. Mrs. Ennen was living in Palmer, Iowa, when her only child, Harold, died in 1995. After his death, Mrs. Ennen went to live with her daughter-in-law in Alexandria. In 1999, she became a resident of Bethany Home. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Henry Redman and Harm Ennen; her son, Harold Redman; five sisters, Tena Garrelts, Emma Stork, Elsie Aden, Ann Schoon, and Martha Martens; and five brothers, Hyke, Henry, Carl, Robert and Louis. Survivors include her daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, two great-great-grandchildren, and the families of George Ennen and Alvin Ennen and the children of Harm Ennen.
