He was member of the Methodist Church at Cambridge, having accepted the Lord as a yung man. He was a 50-year-plus member of the church, having joined i 1932. He was married to Zelma Newton on June 2, 1926, at Orleans, NE, having a double wedding with Zelma's twin sister, Velma and Alva Wroot. Born to this union were 2 children, Kenneth Lowell and Joyce Aillean. Clarence farmed at Stamford and Cambridge, NE. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his earlier years. He was an inspiration to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The grandchildren often came to him for advice and help. Preceding him in death were his parents, 4 brothers and a grandson. Surviving are his wife, Zelma, son Kenneth and wife Colleen, Steve and Scott of Ten Sleep, Wyoming; Cristi and Sean McMahon of Casper, WY; daughter Joyce of Holdrege, Randy and Angie Ommert of Funk; Cindy and Bruce Peterson of Holdrege; and 4 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters: Chrustal and Luceil Rhynalds of Oxford; Vera howard of Erickson, NE; Grace and Bill Kennedy of Oswego, NY; Florence and Jack Evans of Torrence, California; sister-in-law Bernice Bose of Oxford; brother Jim and wife Donna of Oxford; nieces and nephews and many friends. Services were held Monday, November 26, at the Methodist Church with Pastor Barbara Schnechel. Pallbearers were Mr. Willard Estergard, Greeley, CO, and five grandsons: Steve Bose, Scott Bose, Randy Ommert, Bruce Peterson, Harold Joseph. Music was furnished by Jackie Johnson and Gloria Hilton. Internment was in the Stamford Cemetery. Arrangements were by Lockenour Mortuary of Cambridge.
