Services will be held Saturday morning in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Lancaster, O. Burial will be there. Survivors are the mother, Mrs. Gertrude McLeod. Indianapolis; two brothers, Paul A. McLeod, Indianapolis, and Donald McLeod, Army, Germany, and three sisters, Mrs. Robert E. Eckis, Buffalo, N. Y., Mrs. Robert Kindler, Elwood, and Mrs. Donald Scotten, Spiceland. OBITUARY Journal and Courier, Lafayette, Indiana, Thursday, 20 May 1948, Page 14 Miss Claribel McLeod, former local resident, died at 3 a.m. Thursday at the family home, 543 E. Thirty-Sixth street, Indianapolis, after a long illness. The family resided here, at Tinkler and Ferry streets, while a brother, Paul Angus McLeod, was associated with the Public Service company of Indiana, Inc., in the management of gas and electric service. They left here in 1929 when Mr. McLeod was transferred to a broader field of activity; at present he is assistant to the company vice-president in the Indianapolis general offices. Miss McLeod was a member here of St. Mary's cathedral. Burial will be at Lancaster, O., Saturday. The mother, Mrs. Gertrude McLeod, two brothers and three sisters survive. Survivors include the mother, Mrs. Gertrude Thimmes McLeod, of the home; two brothers, Paul Angus McLeod, Indianapolis, and Donald McLeod, stationed with the U. S. Army in Germany; three sisters, Mrs. Robert Eckis, Buffalo. N. Y., Mrs. Robert Kindler, Elwood, Ind., and Mrs. Donald Scotten, Spiceland, Ind. The body is to arrive in Lancaster Friday and will be taken to the home of an aunt, Miss Clara Thimmes. 211 South High-st. Friends may call there after Friday noon. Funeral services are to be held Saturday, 9 a.m., in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary's cemetery by James H. Sheridan Sons.
