Spellman. Adams -- Clarice M. Spellman, 95, of Route 2, Adams, died Tuesday, Sept. 3, 1991, at the Gold Crest Retirement Center, Adams. She was born Aug. 27, 1896, near Adams and has lived near Adams all of her life. She was a graduate of Adams High School and attended Doane College. She was a member of the Adams Presbyterian Church and a former member of the Frederated Woman's Club of Adams. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening. Survivors : sons, James W. Spellman and wife Virginia of Normal, Illinois, J. Richard Spellman and wife Sharon of Lincoln; daughter, Margaret Harrold of Adams; eight grandchildren, James W. Spellman, Mark D. Spellman, John K. Spellman, Timothy Spellman, William Harrold, Allen Harrold, Barbara Schiff, and Susan Leber, 18 great -grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Spellman in 1983; parents, Walter and Stella (Harper) Barmore; and two brothers. Funeral : 10 a.m Friday, Adams Presbyterian 6, the Rev. William Pfeiffer officiating. Burial : Highland Cemetery, Adams. The body will lie in state at Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel in Adams after 11 a.m. Thursday and at the church one hour preceding service. A memorial has been established. Griffiths-Hovendick Chapel, Adams.
