WARD BURIED TUESDAY Died Suddenly Sunday Morning From Heart Attack INTERMENT WAS IN CRISFIELD CEMETERY On Sunday morning last Miss Clark C. Ward passed away at the McCready Memorial Hospital after being admitted the day before, Saturday, suffering from a heart attack. She was the daughter of the late William and Mary Ward of this city, and spent her entire life in this community where she was well known and loved by a wide circle of friends. The passing of Miss Ward, a woman whose fine qualities made her an outstanding citizen of the community, is mourned by all who knew her. She possessed a wonderful character and was a friend to everyone. Not only was she a friend to those with whom she came in contact daily, but was equally as kindly to the stranger who chanced to pass her way. Hers was a charitable nature and she took a great delight in helping those less fortunate than herself. Miss Ward was a true and understanding friend and a kind and helpful neighbor and news of her passing came as a great shock to relatives and friends in Crisfield and the heartfelt sympathies of everyone in the community are extended to the bereaved ones in their hour of sorrow. Up until a few years ago she was a very active member and worker of Immanuel Church, in which she greatly enjoyed performing her daily chores for the betterment of her church which she dearly loved. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Mannie Riggin and twelve nephews and eight nieces and a host of friends. Funeral sevices were held at her home on Standard avenue Tuesday afternoon and conducted by her pastor, Rev. Melvin E. Wheatley, who was assisted by Rev. Charles M. Elderdice, pastor of Mt. Pleasant Church. The flowers which banked her casket were a silent tribute of her wonderful personality, sent by her many friends and relatives who mourn her passing. The pallbearers were Horace Riggin, Edwin Riggin, William Ward, John T. Ward, Howard Ward, and Maurice Ward. Interment was in the Ward lot in the Crisfield cemetery.
