Lamb, a retired Santa Fe Railroad employee, died this morning in his home in Americus. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. Mr. Lamb, the son of Adalaska C. and Ruth Yeakly Lamb, was born July 15, 1895, in Americus, and he was married to Opal D. Finuf on March 6, 1925, in Burlington. He was a verteran of world War I, a member of Ball-McColm Post 5 of the American Legion in Emporia and a member of Lyon County Barracks 1111, Veterans of World War I. Mr. Lamb was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Clarence, John and Otho, one sister, Lottie, and one grandson, John Ray Lamb. He is survived by his wife, of the home; two sons, John F., of 25 rural St., Emporia, and Leslie W., of Wichita; two daughters, Mrs. James (Clara) Read, 24 and Mrs. Howard (Jean) Lemon, Odessa, Mo., and seven grandchildren. Finuf-Lamb "Americus Greeting" March 11, 1925 Korah Lamb and Miss Opal Finuf motored to Burlington last Thursday where they were married. After the wedding they went to Elsmore, Kan., where they visited Mr. and Mrs. Otho Lamb and family returning to Americus the first of the week. The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Finuf and has made her home in Americus since early childhood. She is a graduate of the Americus High School and has many friends and acquaintances. The groom is the youngest son of A.C. Lamb. He has lived in Americus all his life. He is a verteran of the late war and was stationed overseas for some time after the close of the war. Mr. and Mrs. Lamb have taken up their residence on a farm about seven miles northeast of Americus where their friends tendered them the customary charivari Monday night and wished them a prosperous and happy married life.
