Description	:	Claude E. Walker, 74, died April 11, 2005, at his home in Bellingham, Wash. Born July 19, 1930, to Darrel and Velna Walker in Port Townsend, Wash., he graduated from Port Townsend High School as president of his class in 1949. He served in the U.S. Army, graduated from Western Washington University, and since 1956 resided in Whatcom County, where he operated an office machine repair and print shop in Bellingham. Claude and his wife, Lorraine, lived in Desert Hot Springs, Calif., each winter, and "he loved to outwit the 'one-armed bandits' whenever he got close to Nevada," said his family. His sense of humor was well-known, and he delighted in exploring out-of-the way secondhand stores. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine; son Grant Walker of Silver Lake, Wash.; daughters Ilene Walker of Bellingham and Bonnie Zeleff of Pomeroy, Wash.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson; uncles John and Jim Blankenship; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Walker. Private services were conducted April 12. His ashes will be placed in Laurel Grove Cemetery in Port Townsend with his parents.
