Description	:	Clayton C. Johnston, son of Charlie and Eva Johnston, was born on December 12, 1908, near Oak, Nebraska, where he lived all his life. He was united in marriage to Selma Ferguson, March 27, 1930. To this union two children were born. A son Norman and daughter Linda. His son, parents and brother Ray preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Selma, daughter, Mrs. Linda Fuqua of Estes Park, Colo., and granddaughter, Monica. His sister, Vivian Persinger, San Diego, Calif., brothers Tyndall of Billings, Mont., Lynn of Oak, Woodrow of Storm Lake, Iowa, and Basil of San Bruno, Calif., and a host of other relatives and friends. He was a member of the First Community Church, member of the County Agriculture Conservation Service and interested in many community activities. He was a kind and devoted husband, father and grandfather. To know him was to call him "friend'. His stories of History and Indian Lore enchanted old and young alike. Funeral services were held at the Oak Community Church on October 17, with burial at Edgar, Nebraska. Clarence Mersch, Minister of Geneva Church of Christ officiated, James and Alfred sang with Artha Scroggin at the piano.
