Fr. Anthony Schlernitznauer. The bride was stylishly gowned in a suit of midnight blue and wore a picture hat of white satin with trimming of green foliage. The bridal party repaired to the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Dum, South High-st, where a wedding breakfast was served to twenty guests. Thimmes had been employed by the city service department since 1909, the last 20 years continuous. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mabel Thimmes, a son, Robert, Lancaster; 2 daughters, Mrs. Paul Brasseur, Zanesville, and Mrs. Bernard Black, Lancaster; a brother, Thomas J. Thimmes, and a sister, Mrs. Alex Henry, both of Lancaster; nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The body was removed to the James H. Sheridan Sons funeral home, where the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of St. John will hold services Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be said Wednesday, 9 a.m., in St. Mary's Church and burial made in St. Mary's cemetery.
