Description	:	HENNESSEY, CLEMENT F.—Clement F. Hennessey, son of Dennis and Frances Hennessey, was born on a farm near Milligan, Neb., December 15, 1892. He passed away at the Fillmore County hospital, July 6, 1965, at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 21 days, after being hospitalized for three months. His boyhood was spent on the farm. He attended grade school near Milligan, and graduated from Milligan high school in 1911. After graduating he taught in District 43, Fillmore county, for four years. Later he served as deputy county treasurer of Fillmore county six years. Clement spent most of his life in and around Geneva, being engaged in farming with his father for several years. He was also employed as a guard at the state penitentiary several years. The last few years he was retired and made his home at the Geneva Hotel. Survivors include a sister, Mrs. William (Celya) Svatos, a brother Earl. D., a niece, Cheryl Hennessey, all of Geneva, a nephew, LaVelle Svatos, of York, also two grand-nephews and a grand-niece of York, several cousins and a host of Friends. Preceding him in death were his mother and father. He was a longtime member of the Geneva Masonic lodge and served several years as an officer. He served as master of the lodge in 1933. He was a good citizen, a considerate neighbor and a helpful friend to all who knew him. Funeral services were held at the Kritner-Farmer funeral home in Geneva at 2 p. m. Friday, July 8. Dr. Everett E. Jackman officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Johnson sang “Beyond the Sunset” and “In the Garden” Patti Miller was accompanist. Pallbearers were John Bixby, Vaughn Fulton, Kenneth Heisey, Melvin Ralston, Rex Shaner and Heal H. Tucker. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery with the Masonic lodge in charge of the committal service. The Nebraska Signal 15 July 1965 page 9.
