Description	:	HENNESSEY, DENNIS—Dennis Hennessey passed away at his home in Geneva, Neb., at 1:20 a. m. Sunday, May 18, 1941, aged 74 years, 8 months, and 21 days. He had been ill several weeks. Mr. Hennessey was born at Calumet, Ill., August 27, 1866. He came to Nebraska in 1881, just sixty years ago this spring, and settled with his parents on a farm in Glengary township. Read More	HENNESSEY, DENNIS—Dennis Hennessey passed away at his home in Geneva, Neb., at 1:20 a. m. Sunday, May 18, 1941, aged 74 years, 8 months, and 21 days. He had been ill several weeks. Mr. Hennessey was born at Calumet, Ill., August 27, 1866. He came to Nebraska in 1881, just sixty years ago this spring, and settled with his parents on a farm in Glengary township. In 1891 he was united in marriage to Miss Frances Bell. This union was blessed with two sons and a daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Hennessey resided in Glengary township until 1927, when they moved to a farm in Stanton township. In 1937, they retired and moved to Geneva, where they had since made their home. Mr. Hennessey is survived by his wife, two sons, Clement and Ear; a daughter, Mrs. Celya Svatos; a grandson, LaVelle Svatos, and a great-grandson, Roger Svatos, all of Geneva; a brother, James of Ohiowa; and three sisters, Bridget of Exeter, Mrs. Julia Bates and Mrs. Elizabeth Arnold of Deadwood, S. D. The funeral occurred at 9:30 a. m. Tuesday, May 20, at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Geneva, Rev. James F. Gilroy officiating. Pallbearers were Claude Kimbrough, John Diederich, Victor Toren, John Massoth, John Harrington, and Charles Hourigan. Interment was in the Geneva cemetery. The Nebraska Signal May 22, 1941 page 5.
