Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 17 July 1963 Clement Nagengast is Heart Attack Victim Clement Michael (Clem) Nagengast, 61, well known Fort Benton resident and a Chouteau county resident for more than half a century, passed away Tuesday evening at the St. Clare hospital, a victim of a heart attack. He had been admitted Monday. His sudden passing was a shock to his many friends. Mr. Nagengast had attended the Knights of Columbus picnic only the day before he was stricken. Born Nov. 24, at Howells, Neb., he came to Chouteau county just over 50 years ago, on July 7, 1913. He married Ethel Galarneau at Moscow, Idaho, on Feb. 5, 1934. The Nagangasts farmed in the Elim section east of Fort Benton for many years. They moved to town in 1948 so the children could attend school, but continued their farming operations. He is survived by his wife, Ethel, and by two sons and five daughters: Mrs. Mary Davison; Mrs. Patricia Bolstad; Mrs. Maxine Shiver; Charles, Leone, Richard and Marilyn Nagengast. One son, Jerome Nagengast, preceded him in death. Mr. Nagengast is also survived by his father, George, and step-mother, Rose Nagengast; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Martin and Chris Nagengast of Fort Benton, and George of Chestochina, Alaska; five sisters, Mrs. Veronica Frieling, Mrs. Rose Pugh, and Mrs. Isabel Streit, of Fort Benton; Mrs. Phil Quinlan, of Great Falls; two half-sisters, Rose Marie and Barbara Jean Nagengast, of Fort Benton; and many nieces and nephews and cousins in this county and elsewhere. Funeral services are tentatively set for Friday morning at 10 at the Immaculate Conception church in Fort Benton. Clem made many friends during his half century of residence, who will extend sympathy to the relatives in their sudden loss.
