Description	:	Cletus Joseph Ohlinger was born July 20, 1936, at Panama. He was the son of Jake and Florence (Arkfeld) Ohlinger. In 1954, he graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School, Panama. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 -1958. June 30, 1959, he married Norma Munchrath at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling. The couple lived in the Harlan area where he worked as a plumber. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 -1958. June 30, 1959, he married Norma Munchrath at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling. The couple lived in the Harlan area where he worked as a plumber. In 1977, they moved to Pocahontas where he joined his brother Ray in the operation of Ray's Plumbing and Heating. Dec. 26, 1983, he married Margaret Ofwell at Pocahontas. The couple has lived in Pocahontas ever since. He was a member of the Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church, KC's, and the Pocahontas Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his father, Jake. Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Pocahontas; children, JoAnn (Chuck) Poduska of Lake Mary, FL; Charlene (Wayne) Hartman of Co. Bluffs; Cindy (Dan) Murphy of Pocahontas; Kathy (Mark) Sernett of Laurens; Mike (Marcia) Ohlinger of Co. Bluffs; Lynne (Jim) Stoulil of Austin, MN; and Kelly (Paul) Hofmeyer of Huntsville, AL; step- children; Laura (Kenny) Letsche of Marcus; and Linda Olwell of Little Rock, AR; 13 grandchildren; mother Florence Ohlinger of Harlan; brothers Ray (Betty) of Pocahontas; Jake (Kathy) of Greenville. SC; and Bob (LuAnn) of Wheat Ridge, CO; and sisters, Theresa (Jerry) Sonntag of Atlantic; Angie (Don) Wingert of Omaha, NE; Jane (Richard) Buckley of Glenwood; Leola (Bill) Royal of Harlan; Rose (Dave) Sternberg of Shelby; and Marge (Terry) Ostgaard of Lincoln, NE. Funeral services were held Nov. 12, 1994 at the Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church with Rev. David Hogan officiating. Burial was in the Calvary cemetery, Pocahontas. Honorary casket bearers were: Pocahontas Volunteer Fire Department. Casket bearers were: Chuck Poduska, Dan Murphy, Kenny Letsche, Wayne Hartman, Mark Sernett, Jim Stoulil and Paul Hofmeyer.
