She was the matriarch of several Putnam families who lived near her in Jefferson City. The 1880 Census shows two Putnam households in Jefferson City with Climena, sons Fred and Frank Stanley and 15-year-old granddaughter Minnie (Minnie's mother and father, Julian, are deceased) occupying one house. Living nearby is John J. Rohrbaugh, who has married Margaret Scott Putnam, widow of Henry Roscoe Putnam. This household contains Henry Roscoe Putnam's 3 children (Climena's grandchildren): James Henry "Harry", John Edwin "Eddie" and Annie Putnam. Within the next 6 years, 2 of Climena's children/grandchildren (Frank Stanley and Annie Putnam) marry and reside in Jefferson City close to Climena.
