Read More	Georgetown Times August 1, 1924 The sad death of a former young lady of Georgetown occurred on Tuesday morning at ten o'clock, when Mrs. Francis Marion Connor, who before her marriage was Miss Clyde Doar, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Marion Doar Sr., died suddendly at her home in Cordele, Georgia. Mrs. Connor was born and raised in Georgetown graduated from the Winyah High School and attended Winthrop College after finishing up in the Episcopal Church, the church of her family, a nd was a member of the Prince George Church. In June 1922, she married Francis Marion Conner, Development Agent for the Seaboar Air Line Railway Company and moved to her late residence in Cordele. Up to the time of her marriage, she was one of the most popular young ladies of his city, and her passing caused heartfelt grief throughout the entire section. Mrs. Connor was taken suddendly ill about three weeks ago, and a few days later her mother, Mrs. Marion Doar, was called to Cordele and was with her until the time of her death. The body was brought to Georgetown Wednesday in a private car, attended by her mother, husband, and the sister and two brothers of Mr. Connor together with a large number of the family. The funeral services were held at Prince George Episcopal Church at 5 o'clock Wednesday and were conducted by ther Rev. William Way, Rector of Grace Episcopal Church of Charleston, and the burial services were held at Elmwood Cemetery at 5:30 o'clock. The pallbearers were Messrs Marion Doar Jr., Leroy Doar, Bachman Doar, William Walter Doar, William Connor and Spencer Connor. Deceased is survived by her parents Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Doar Sr., two brothers Marion Jr. and Leroy and one sister Miss Minnie Doar and the Misses Detynes all of whom were able to reach Georgetown by Wednesday in time for the funeral services.
