Description	:	Villisca people were grieved this week to learn of the death of Clyde H. Nelson, who was formerly in the grocery business with his father Martin Nelson, in this city in the room now owned and occupied by J. A. Whitney. Clyde passed away at the Research Hospital in Kansas City Sunday night at 9:20. Clyde passed away at the Research Hospital in Kansas City Sunday night at 9:20. The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 at the home of the grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. Taylor and the remains were buried in the Villisca Cemetery, Rev. E. S. Menoher officiating. Clyde Henry Nelson was born in Ogden, Utah, August 11, 1889 and died at the age of 29 years, 2 months, and 16 days. When a small child he came to Villisca with his parents and grew to maturity here. July 15, 1909, he was united in marriage to Madge McCue of near Grant and to them were born two children, Darleen, now eight years old, and Paul, who died at the age of nine months. The family moved from this place to Shenandoah about four years ago and since June of this year had lived in Kansas City where Clyde had a good position as manager of the grocery department of The Jones Store. Clyde was a likable young man, full of energy and ambition, and at the very time when his future seemed brightest was called to the great beyond. He leaves to mourn his death, the wife and daughter, father, step-mother, two half-brothers, Frank and John, all of whom were here to attend the funeral and many others relatives and friends.
