Description	:	Funeral services were held April 24, 1979 at the Congregational Church in Creighton for Clyde Green, 71. Fred Gardner officiated with burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Clyde Merrill Green, son of Frank W. and Hulda E. Gilbert Green, was born August 30, 1907 on the farm southwest of Creighton, where he met with a tractor accident on April 21, 1979, which took his life. He spent his entire life there with the exception of three years, 1959 through 1961, when he was affiliated with Farmers Grain Terminal at Columbus. Clyde Merrill Green, son of Frank W. and Hulda E. Gilbert Green, was born August 30, 1907 on the farm southwest of Creighton, where he met with a tractor accident on April 21, 1979, which took his life. Clyde attended the Millerboro rural school up to the eighth grade and graduated from Creighton High School with the class of 1924. Clyde was baptized as a youth at the Baptist Church in Creighton and later became a member of the Congregational-Baptist church of which he was a member until his death; holding several church offices over the years. On September 19, 1954 he was united in marriage to Lola L. Foreman at the Creighton Congregational-Baptist Church. To this union one son, Reginald C. Green was born. Clyde was engaged in farming and ranching his entire life. During the 1930's, he did custom work in the Creighton area. He served as township clerk for Eden township in antelope county for a number of years. His survivors include his wife, Lola; one son, Reginald of Creighton; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Lichty of Creighton and Mrs. Esther Jorgensen of Northwood, Ia. and several nieces and nephews.
