Description	:	Mrs. Frank Green at Rest Hulda Esther Gilbert was born at Coon Rapids, Iowa on May 31, 1876 and died at her home southwest of Creighton on January 22, 1930 at the age of 53 years, 7 months and 21 days. In May 1881 she came with her parents to Creighton, Nebr. and has resided here up to the time of her death. Read More	Mrs. Frank Green at Rest Hulda Esther Gilbert was born at Coon Rapids, Iowa on May 31, 1876 and died at her home southwest of Creighton on January 22, 1930 at the age of 53 years, 7 months and 21 days. In May 1881 she came with her parents to Creighton, Nebr. and has resided here up to the time of her death. At the age of 17 years, she was baptized and united with the Baptist church of Creighton, where she remained an active member until her passing. On October 24, 1900 she was united in marriage to Frank W. Green and moved to the farm home southwest of Creighton, where she spent the remainder of her life. This union was blessed with three children; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Lichty, residing near Burnswick and Esther at home and one son, Clyde, at home. Mrs. Green had been for many years an influential member of the Baptist Ladies Aid, Womens Home Missionary Society and the Millerboro Aid and was a leader in these societies. She was a true Christian and confessed her faith in God to the last. She possessed a very charming personality and was a friend of her every acquaintance. Besides the husband, Frank W. Green, she leaves to mourn, two daughters, Mrs. Edith Lichty of Brunswick and Esther, at home; one son, Clyde at home; four brothers, Chas Gilbert of Creighton, Louis Gilbert of Norfolk, Alvin Gilbert of Almota, Wash. and Arthur Gilbert of Dawn, Mo. and three sisters, Elsie Gilbert of Norfolk, Nora Gilbert of Peru and Mrs. Wm. Leizure of Winterset, Ia. One brother, Ralph Gilbert and one sister, Mrs. Caldwell, preceded her in death. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday afternoon by Rev. P. W. Sawtelle of Pilger at the Baptist church and he spoke words of praise for the departed, having known Mrs. Green for several years. The church was filled to overflowing with friends, who had come to pay their last tribute to this esteemed woman. The flowers were gorgeous, which showed the respect she was held in by her friends and neighbors. The remains were conveyed to its last resting place in Greenwood cemetery.
