Green Is Victim Of Heart Attack Drops Dead Monday Evening on Way Home From Neighbor's Funeral Friday Afternoon With shocking suddenness, Frank W. Green, well known Creighton citizen, passed away Monday evening about 10 o'clock. Mr. Green, with his wife, had spent the evening at the neighboring Chas. Shankweiler home and walking home he was stricken with a heart attack and dropped dead. He and Mrs. Green had just entered the driveway of his place when he suffered the fatal attack. Last week Mr. Green had a heart attack but quickly recovered and was soon up and about again. The afternoon of his death he had taken his grandson, Larry Jorgensen, to a physician for re-examination. The boy, a week and a half before had an arm pulled through a washing machine wringer to the shoulder. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at the house at 1:30 and at the Federated church at 1:45. The Rev. Paul W. Sawtell of South Sioux City, former pastor here, assisted by the Rev. David C. Anderson, Federated church pastor, will officiate. Interment will be made in Greenwood cemetery. Frank William Green, second son of Samuel G. and Mary A. Green, was born at Emerson, Iowa, January 29, 1876 and passed away at his home in Creighton, Nebraska on December 27, 1937 at the age of 61 years, 10 months and 28 days. At the age of eight years he moved with his folks to Colorado where he resided for a period of four years. He then came to Hamilton county, Nebraska, where he lived a year, moving with his parents to the farm home near Creighton in 1894. On October 24, 1900, he was united in marriage to Huldah E. Gilbert of Creighton, Nebraska. To this union were born three children, one son, Clyde M. of Creighton and two daughters, Edith M. Lichty of Page and Esther J. Jorgensen of Creighton. At the age of sixteen years he was converted and united with the Baptist church. After moving to Creighton he united with the Baptist church of which he remained an active member until it united with the Federated church of Creighton. He remained an active member of that church until his death. In 1902 Mr. Green, with his wife, built the farm home just across from his father's home, where he resided until about two years ago when he moved to Creighton. Mrs. Green passed to the Great Beyond on January 27, 1930. On September 4, 1935, he was united in marriage to Elsie M. Gilbert at Norfolk, Nebraska. Mr. Green was always a good neighbor and a loving husband. He was always willing to lend a hand in a time of need. He will be remembered especially for his honesty and uprightness expressed in fair dealing with others. He was a true Christian, being particularly faithful in attendance at worship services and served his church as a trustee until the time of his death. His only brother, Walter T. Green, was called to rest November 7, 1937. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife; his three children children, Edith Lichty, Clyde Green and Esther Jorgensen and two grandchildren, Lavonne Lichty and Larry Jorgensen, besides a host of relatives and friends.
