Description	:	Clyde Norman Reeve, one of eight children of Benjamin Reeve and Lillian Dean Reeve, was born on May 1,1907, at Nelson. He passed away on December 27, 1992, at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska, at the age of 85 years, 7 months and 27 days. Read More	Clyde Norman Reeve, one of eight children of Benjamin Reeve and Lillian Dean Reeve, was born on May 1,1907, at Nelson. He passed away on December 27, 1992, at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska, at the age of 85 years, 7 months and 27 days. Clyde was raised and educated in Nelson and lived there all his life. On April 12,1932, he was united in marriage to Bessie Stichka in Red Cloud, Nebraska. To this union five children were born. He was a longtime member of the Nelson Presbyterian Church where he served as a trustee and deacon for many years. After its closing, he then joined the First Community Church in Oak, Nebraska. He was a long time employee of the Nuckolls County Road Department as an equipment operator. Clyde enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball games and played when he was young. Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Otto and Dean; and a son-in-law, John Troudt. Survivors include his wife, Bessie of Nelson; two sons, Norman and his wife, Leta, of Nelson, and Terry and his wife, Julia, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three daughters, Dorothy Bell and her husband, Robert of Torrington, Wyoming, Carol Schneider and her husband, James, of Juniata, Nebraska and Patsy Troudt of Honeydew Republic of South Africa; three sisters, Blanche Nelson of Tulelake, California, Mary Disney and her husband, Ben, of Superior, Nebraska, and Elva Jane Nash and her husband, Bill, of Fullerton, Nebraska; two brothers, Oren and his wife, Estella, of Superior, Nebraska and Denny of Blue Hill, Nebraska, 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 30, 1992, at 2 p.m. from the Klawitter-Price Funeral Home Chapel in Nelson, with Pastor Jonathan Brobston of the First Community Church of Oak officiating. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery. Organist, Cloma Corman, accompanied soloist, Bev Autrey as she sang "Softly and Tenderly" and "In The Garden". Casketbearers were LaVon Schoof, Victor Schmitt, LaVon Schoof, Victor Schmitt, Duane Drohman Jr., Levonn Pederson, Merlin Luben and Curt Jensen.
