Description	:	Grand Island Independent, Friday, September 23, 1921 Obituary Silas Young Bryson, son of Silas and Clarinda Bryson, was born in Gage County, Nebraska. He died at his home in Grand Island, Nebraska, at the age of 53 years 10 months and 12 days. On March 2, 1890, he was united in marriage to Miss Julia Zuver, who with eight children is left to mourn his untimely loss. Read More	Grand Island Independent, Friday, September 23, 1921 Obituary Silas Young Bryson, son of Silas and Clarinda Bryson, was born in Gage County, Nebraska. He died at his home in Grand Island, Nebraska, at the age of 53 years 10 months and 12 days. On March 2, 1890, he was united in marriage to Miss Julia Zuver, who with eight children is left to mourn his untimely loss. Six of these children, Georgia, James, Sarah, Helen, Hazel, Owen and Ralph live at the family residence in Grand Island. Olive, Mrs. A. W. Larson, resides on the home farm north of the city, and Esther, Mrs. Jack Fagan, mother of the only grandchild, James Edward Fagan, lives west of the city. Two infant daughters Elsie and Lillian preceded him in death. Besides his sorrowing family Mr. Bryson leaves seven sisters and four brothers, all of whom were in attendance at the last service except one sister who lives in Oregon and a brother in Oklahoma. Some joined the cortege to Lincoln others at Adams. Mr. Bryson was, in his infancy, baptized in the Methodist Episcopal church of which he has always been a faithful and devoted member. He grew to manhood at his birth place and moved to Hall county in 1900 locating on the farm which now bears his name. Two years ago he moved to Grand Island and assumed management of the Farmer's Co-operative and Educational Union. He was very active in community affairs and was interested in the welfare of others. His sudden death came as a severe shock to all and he will be greatly missed by his family, but his life will always be to them a cherished memory and a guide though the coming years. The body was laid to rest in the family lot in the Highland Cemetery at Adams, Neb. --- We wish to extend our many thanks and appreciation, for the sympathies and kindness conveyed by our many friends, during the death of our dear husband and father.
