The attendants were Mr. John Helms and Miss Kate Broom; Mr. Walter Davis and Miss Susan Godwin; Mr. Leroy Preslar and Miss Bessie Collins; Mr. Eli Lowery and Miss Emma Davis. After the ceremony the bridal party remained a short while, receiving the congratulations of their friends, and with Miss Kate Eubanks at the oragan, the Trinity choir sang a few nice and appropriate songs. Then the party left for the groom's home, where a nice supper awaited them. The groom is a young man of fine character, and well like by all who knew him. The Monroe Journal Monroe, NC Tuesday, October 8, 1912 Page 1 ---------- Mrs. Hosea Preslar of south Monroe township died yesterday morning, after an illness of some time. Her little child died a few weeks ago. She was 28 years of age and is survived by her husband, her parents, and several brothers and sisters. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Alex Osborne, and her sisters are Mrs. Mack Pigg, Mrs. Jack Davis, Mrs. James Mangum, Mrs. Amos Pigg, and Mrs. William Porter. Her brothers are Rev. Moffit Osborne and Mr. William Osborne. The remains were buried at Smyrna church this morning. Mrs. Preslar was a faithful member of the Methodist church.
