Description	:	Obituary: Cora Belle Holt, 78, pioneer resident of Uniontown and widow of the late Miles E. Holt, died suddenly this morning at 6:30 in her sleep (April 15, 1952). She had undergone an appendetomy a few weeks ago and returned to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mitchell George, where she was thought to be recovering. She retired last night feeling fine. Read More	Obituary: Cora Belle Holt, 78, pioneer resident of Uniontown and widow of the late Miles E. Holt, died suddenly this morning at 6:30 in her sleep (April 15, 1952). She had undergone an appendetomy a few weeks ago and returned to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mitchell George, where she was thought to be recovering. She retired last night feeling fine. She was the daughter of Samuel B. and Frances Schrock Bolyard, and was born May 8, 1874. She came with her parents in a covered wagon to Lincoln county, Kansas, at the age of 12, the family later coming to Bourbon county where she was married to Miles E. Holt November 25, 1895. Mr. Holt preceeded her in death several years ago. Surviving are four daughters...Mrs. Delta George, Mrs. Mary Weyant, and Mrs. Iva Witsell, Uniontown, and Mrs. Alice Warren of Bronson; two sons, Postmaster Sam Holt and Eddie Holt, Uniontown. One daughter, Grace is deceased. Two brothers, J. L. Bolyard of Uniontown and Samuel Bolyard of Moran, also survive. There are twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Mrs. Holt was a member of the Methodist church, Mary A. Helper Chapter O.E. S., R.N.A., the Turkey Creek club, the Farm Bureau and the W.S.C.S. She was very active in all civic and community affairs. Funeral arrangments are incomplete. The body is at Earl's Memorial Home. --- Funeral Services Funeral services for Cora Belle Holt, 78, pioneer resident of Uniontown and widow of the late Miles E. Holt were held at 2 p.m. (April 19, 1952) at the Uniontown Methodist Church with the Rev. Mrs. McIntosh officiating. The church and its annex rooms were filled by friends paying their last respects to Mrs. Holt, who had been a prominent and active figure in all civic and community affairs. Music was furnished by Kenneth Powell, who sang a solo with Mrs. John Paige accompaaning; a duet by Mrs. Ed Holt and Joan Norton, accompanied by Mrs. Glenn Griffith; and a solo by Miss Norton with Mrs. Griffith accompaning. Pallbearers were all grandsons and grandsons-in-law...Lynne Holt, Bill George, Jim Holt, Miles Weyant, Roy Smith, Johnny Dillinder, Don Norton, and Chester Boileau. Interment was in Uniontown cemetery. Out of town relatives attending the services were: R. B. Holt, J.K. McKinnis, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Holt and family, Walsh, Colo,; Mrs. and Mrs. Roy Smith, Pittsburg; Mr. and Mrs. Dillinder and family, and Mrs. Earl Strader, Wichita. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Bolyard, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Bolyard, Moran; Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Holt and family, Denver; Mr. and Mrs. Don Norton, Kansas City; and Mr. and Mrs. Frank McAdams, Moran. The body was at Earl's Memorial Home until the hour of the service.
